Fanboys need to unbunch their panties

Well, I believe just about every director who has cast Rob in all of his roles had total faith and confidence in his work, his art, his work ethic and his ability to bring something to the character that he’s playing. And not one of those directors has ever come back and said, Oh man,, I made a mistake….
I don’t know that much about Cronenberg’s previous work, but I do know that when a director calls you and asks you to be in his film, that’s pretty amazing. It shows trust, it shows confidence, it shows that he has total faith & his obviously an admirer of your previous work. It also says so much about Rob…he’s young and still new to Hollywood, and has left his mark.
People need to just shut the fuck up and not only trust Rob, but trust what it is the director sees in him.

I trust entirely on the work of Cronenberg. I’m a big fan of Viggo Mortensen and I saw the excellent partnership that the two have developed since the movie History of Violence. Viggo was always an underrated actor by the critics and he was relegated to supporting roles and villain in several films, all before he became Aragorn in Lord of the Rings.
After seeing the talent and charisma of Viggo in the films directed by Peter Jackson, Cronenberg invited him to do History of Violence and later Eastern Promises. This film gave to Viggo his first Oscar nomination as best actor, not counting the numerous compliments from the true critics.
Viggo and Cronenberg have just finished to do A Dangerous Method, a film in which Keira Knightley is too.
It is common that iconic directors such as Cronenberg have a group of actors they trust and call them often to work together.
It can happen now with Keira, as has happen with Viggo and I’m sure that will happen to Robert too.
Rob needed a renowned director to give him more experience and confidence in their work and he finally found Cronenberg. A director of great reputation among the true critics.
These other people which are not true critics can say whatever they want because the truth is that from now all the people who matter have their eye on Robert Pattinson. They will look better to him and other great directors too. That is what really matters for Rob.

Well if people are just reading the mass media about him they will have formed a mass media opinion. I think he is the most intelligent actor to come along in decades. But he did not rise slowly through the ranks bowing to media attention and sucking up. That’s why they won’t cut him a break now. His fans are 100% responsible for his and Kristen’s success and they both know it.

So we have just seen studio power crumble and cave in to these two and they don’t like it one bit. They have been caught with their non-vision pants down around their toes. About time I say. One of his favorite films is Breathless, a Godard, the master of auteurs. With that kind of taste he will not go wrong. I doubt most of the blogger boyz have ever heard of Godard. We are seeing culture in action so hang on for the ride. Culture has now become hip and cool. And it is not something you can go out and buy. Takes lots of time and thinking.

And he is going to have to do lots of that to understand Eric Packard. Eric is a piece of work. I really can’t think of anyone else who could do tht part. Not even Colin Farrell. Eric is Tyler making different choices.
