Chauffeur M: The Wallpapers ~ The One Where He Didn’t Want That Life After All

When Chauffeur Deb offered up this brilliant idea last week, I didn’t realize how emotional it would be to make. I’ve been viewing Eric in the papers as singular instances and I sort of forgot his story arc, his deconstruction and his eventual downfall.

This paper was very fun to create as it tied me back to DeLillo’s words. It was also exciting for me to see the transformation of Robert as he goes from dapper, sunglasses-wearing Eric, to disheveled, half-shaved Eric at the end of the film.

While this paper is a little serious, I don’t want your weekend to be, so have a GOOD one! I’m enjoying all of the photos I’ve received for Manhole Mondays so far. I can’t wait to share them with you on Monday! Did you miss our Monday announcement? Check it out!

I made a point of not looking at this full size until you posted so I’ve only seen it on my phone. Oh my, what an impact. The photos you chose are amazing, not only for the progression of Eric’s physical disintegration but his expressions. He starts off in control and arrogant and then looks pensive, unsure. In one he even looks frightened. I know I’m taking them out of context of the full movie (hell some of them might be “Rob” not Eric!) but for the paper… amazing. It makes me the emo love and is my new desktop.

I love it! And if you hadn’t put it here I might have missed it until the movie came out. It really is obvious how far he falls, not just in physical appearance but also in body language. Great job as always!!!
