Cosmopolis is set to shoot in west Toronto at Cinespace’s Kipling studio facility.
The movie, a Canada-French co-production, will be produced by Paulo Branco through Paris-based Alfama Films Production and Martin Katz of Toronto-based Prospero Pictures.
Grégoire Melin’s Paris-based Kinology will handle International Sales.
Entertainment One will release Cosmopolis in Canada, while RAI Cinema SpA will distribute in Italy.
Budget: $15-20M

Can I just say that I live 15 mins. from the studio and the theatre I go to is just down the street from the studio. I wish I didn’t work full time and was married and a mother of 2 kids other wise I would be camped out 24/7 just hoping for a glimpse of the beautiful one.

Rob is going to be lit’rally in my backyard!! I can walk to the Kipling studio!!
I asked and was told “not sure”. It’s not quite my backyard but I could make it my back yard. I have a friend in the biz here(Toronto) and she said that the Kipling Studio is small and isn’t finished, she is keeping her eyes and ears open for me though. We should try to co-ordinate something somehow, my e-mail is donna@longlegs.ca.
Small? I drove by it the other day…it looks huge! It looks like they’ve taken over the space that used to belong to William H White. I was driving to Wal*Mart and passed it and I will admit my gut reaction was “I bet they film Cosmopolis here!”
Perfect location……next door to Gourmet Burger Company and Tim Horton’s….(snort!)
I work for the City and we haven’t heard anything yet. They have to apply for permits if they do any location shoots and I’ve seen nothing so far.

OK all you Rob Pattinson Stalkers…..make sure you go and see Cosmopolis when it hit theaters….I have seen Water For Elephants 3 times. In every screening the average age of the movie goers I estimate was over 50. I was like where are all the screeming cult fans that were following him while shooting the film. If you are a true RobPatz fan prove it by dropping 10 bucks to support his endevours….and Jeeze give the man some space
Erm, yeah, I think most of the people here and at our sister site waterforelephantsfilm.com go see Rob’s movies. More than once usually. In fact I think between Tink, M and I we’ve seen Water for Elephants 25 times. And visiting a movie set is not stalking, most movie sets garner some interest, especially out on the street. Of course, we want people to be respectful (that’s a two way street by the way) and we found with WFE shooting they were.

Pictures of him while at work are okay unless it interrupts their work. But leave him the hell alone when he is off. The airport pics are horrible, please don’t post these here. Give the man some space…his “fans” will lose him if they keep up the stalking. He does look good in this film so far, and I agree with you, donate to his endeavors and go see the movies. We saw WFE twice in one night. I foresee that happening here as well. Good post Carol.
I’ve visited the set a number of times, everyone is very respectful and the cast and crew honestly seem to like the support. David Cronenberg thanked me for coming down.
So no worries there. As for posting airport pics; sometimes we do, sometimes we don’t. Depends. We label those in the title so you don’t have to look if you don’t like them.
There haven’t been any airport pictures here so for you to see such horrible pictures, you had to click the link yourself. What HAS been posted here are the frequent visits Rob makes to fans at the Cosmopolis set when he’s finished filming for the day. That doesn’t sound like a man demanding space from his fans. Accounts have been respectful and non disruptive. If there were problems, he wouldn’t be stopping for anyone.
I’m glad you supported WFE and saw it twice in one night. I too saw it several times opening weekend and beyond.

Hey! I was in Toronto today but i didn’t have any luck finding the film set…..Does anyone know where they are filming? We saw the set of Covert Affairs ( they were nice) but nothing else…..
Please someone help? I’d really like to go see ( obviously not to bother people working on the movie) …Im just curious to see him working on the film =)

I hope they finish filming before the 21st so Rob can attend Comic Con Breaking Dawn panel on the 21st without being fried. Kristen will also be on a SWATH panel on the 23rd and if I were Rob, I’d want to meet Chris Hemsworth ASAP. Keep your (potential) enemies close and, if possible, preemptively make them friends. Rob has nothing to worry about because he’s the total package (and Chris Hemsworth is married), but nevertheless, CHems is painfully YUMMY.
Is Cosmopolis doing reshootings now in september and octuber???????
